Description

A lovely original Howard & Sons button back armchair.

Circa 1870.

Raised on turned mahogany forelegs and splayed rear legs, complete with original paper label, cope brass castors and the firms stamped to the rear leg.

Traditionally upholstered in a blue Howard & Sons monogrammed cotton fabric, the exact specification of the original found on the chair.

Finished with gathered pleats and Howard & Sons trim, structurally very good.
