Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian silver menu card holders are small dining accessories produced during the early 20th century to hold printed dinner menus or guest placement cards. They were often crafted in sterling silver with novelty themes, such as sporting scenes, animals, or heraldic symbols, to prompt conversation at formal dinners.

These items typically feature sterling silver frames paired with glass or clear cabochons that protect real tied fishing flies, feathers, and silk threads. The silver bases are cast and hallmarked to ensure purity standards.

Authentic pieces carry the distinct makers mark C&C or G&Co for Grey & Co, along with British assay office stamps, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the specific date letter corresponding to 1913.

These holders can be placed at individual table settings during dinner parties to hold place name cards or arranged on a dining table centrepiece to display custom menu cards or small photographs.

Wipe the silver surfaces gently with a soft silver polishing cloth, taking care not to submerge the holders in liquids or expose the encapsulated feathers to moisture and direct sunlight.
