A Gilded Four Glass Mantel Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A French four glass mantel clock. The original case gilding in good condition. Good quality Corinthian capped, fluted side columns with decorative base. Bevelled glass panels with opening front and rear doors. An enamel dial with blued steel hands and a visible escapement to the dial centre. A mercury compensating pendulum.

An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong by Marti of Paris. Circa 1900.
