Description

A Royal Doulton Silver Jubilee loving cup, which is 452 of a limited edition of 1000. In the centre is a conjoined portrait of the King and Queen. The cup was designed by Charles Noke and Harry Fenton. It was issued in 1935 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King George and Queen Mary. This particular Royal Doulton piece is one to two versions made by the factory. This is the version without the crowns. The names of the nations of the Commonwealth countries are incised down the ribbons as they twist round the handles. On the base of the loving cup is a description of the commemoration. It measures 27cm and is in perfect condition.
