Pair of Meissen Style Rococo Revival Porcelain Cherub Wall CorbelsA fine and highly decorative pair of Continental porcelain wall corbels in the Meissen style, dating from the early 20th century.Beautifully modelled as a true left and right pair, each corbel is centred by a seated winged cherub surrounded by an abundance of individually hand-modelled floral sprays and scrolling Rococo ornament, all enhanced with hand-applied gilding and delicate pastel colouring beneath a finely glazed finish. Richly detailed and exceptionally decorative, they retain their original hanging cords and make an attractive addition to both traditional and contemporary interiors.Presented in good antique condition. A few tiny nibbles to some of the delicate applied flower petals and a handful of very minor chips commensurate with age and the fragile nature of the decoration.
