A petite silver brooch in the form of a butterfly and beautifully decorated with guilloche enamel. The unusual colour of pale emerald green is hard to find and is embellished further with over-enamelled black spots. It is beautifully detailed, with an all silver body and wire-work antennae. A pretty and striking piece, typical of the era''s fascination with insect themed jewellery.
Marked ''silver'' to the back, the pin is secured by a ''c'' clasp. Dimensions below.
