A fine quality antique stick pin featuring a dramatic classical mask or grotesque head finely cast in a high carat gold (registering between 16 and 20ct), mounted on a hand-twisted 14ct gold pin. The head is characterful and expressive, with a strong open-mouthed design, stylised hair and pierced features — likely representing a wind god, theatrical mask, or similar classical subject.
