Description

Here we have an antique French Rococo gilt brass lantern.

A pentagonal lantern featuring a heavily detailed gilt-brass framework and five delicately etched glass panels. Five-sided architectural frame tapering gracefully at the base. Ornate casting with asymmetrical c-scrolls, acanthus leaf cresting, and floral tendrils. With an aged authentic gilt-brass finish showing a rich, natural surface oxidation in the crevices. Crowned by a matching scrollwork loop finial, connected to a decorative suspension chain and ceiling canopy rose this wonderful lantern would look fabulous in any interior setting. c1920's. Restored, wired, pat tested and ready to hang

Height 46cm x Width 32cm, this is the height only without the chain and ceiling rose which is the original and measures 10cm. We can supply extra chain should your ceiling height be higher than this.
