A gorgeous Norwegian silver gilt brooch, dating from the middle of the 20th Century. The openwork frame has sinuous lines and is formed to represent a stylized flower, with a barley-twist stem. Decorated in lovely guilloche enamel, featuring golden yellow tones. Fully marked to the reverse, it is the work of Albert Scharning and is in the Modernist taste. The pin is secured by a ''c'' clasp and this striking example is suited to formal or casual wear. Dimensions below.
