Pair of early C19th French Charles X period bronze vases on siena marble bases .
High quality pair of cast bronze vases of good larger scale and proportions, with intricate bands of arcaded gothic lancet-style decoration to the flared bell-krater shaped bodies . The tops with a cast detail edge and beaded rim , the bodies having a ‘pounced’ or textured ground .
Mounted on well-figured ‘giallo di siena’ marble plinth bases , raised on classically-inspired design cast bronze scroll feet.
In excellent original condition with a rich , consistent colour and patina to the bronze . The corner of one marble base having an historic repaired chip .
