A vibrant Scottish coastal landscape by the celebrated colourist Donald McIntyre, depicting a secluded shoreline on the Isle of Mull with sunlit rocky outcrops bordered by tranquil water beneath a soft mauve sky. Titled 'Hidden Shore (Mull)', the composition exemplifies the artist's instinctive response to the landscapes of Scotland's west coast, where bold colour and expressive brushwork combine to capture the ever-changing light and rugged beauty of the Hebrides.

Painted with the artist's characteristic confidence, the foreground is built from richly textured passages of ochres, greens, pinks and deep umbers, leading the eye towards the brilliantly illuminated rock formation at the water's edge.
