A substantial Victorian flame mahogany sideboard, dating from circa 1860.

The sideboard features a long rectangular top above a shaped frieze incorporating drawers, decorated with carved acanthus leaf details. Below are four arched panelled cupboard doors, each displaying attractive flame mahogany figuring.

The doors are divided by boldly carved pilasters with scroll, leaf and floral decoration, giving the piece a strong architectural appearance.
