The watch has a 21-jewel Cortebert 286 automatic movement which is working nicely. This calibre of movement was in production from 1965 until the early 1970s.
The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and it is in beautiful condition.
The inscription commemorates the Swiss watchmaker's historic achievement of winning 60 first-place chronometry awards at various watch observatory trials.

The signed dial is in super original condition too with original hands, centre seconds hand and date display… this is an early form of quickset date where you repeatedly move the hands backwards and forwards between five past midnight and 8.30pm until the desired date is reached. The Cortebert logo at number 12 is a nice feature.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
