Chinese Bamboo Bitong, Pine Trees, 18th Century.

Description

A Chinese bamboo bitong, late 18th Century, Qing Dynasty. The small brush pot, finely carved with pine trees growing amongst rocks, with some deep undercutting to the gnarled branches.

The bamboo bearing a good patination.

Height – 10.7 cm, 4 1/4”.

Diameter – 5 cm, 2”.

Condition – Some typical, small age cracks to the foot. No damage. No repair.
