DESCRIPTION
 
An elegant small Victorian figured walnut folding card table in the George I manner, retaining a beautifully figured walnut top and excellent colour. Compact proportions make it an ideal occasional table, while the folding baize-lined top allows it to be used as a traditional card table when required. It bears the retailer''s label for W. F. Greenwood & Sons of York.
 
The demi-lune folding top opens to reveal a green baize playing surface and stands on tapered chamfered legs united by a shaped stretcher. The shaped apron is fitted with three small drawers, providing useful storage.

CONDITION
 
The table is in good, honest condition, with an attractive colour and polish. The folding mechanism operates freely, the gate legs extend and retract smoothly, and all three drawers run well.
