DESCRIPTION

An attractive mid-18th century Dutch walnut serpentine side table with fine floral marquetry decoration, retaining excellent colour and patina and standing on elegant tapering legs.

DIMENSIONS

74cm high x 70cm wide x 45cm deep

CONDITION

The table is structurally sound with a lovely colour and patina. It retains what appear to be the original brass handles and escutcheon, and the drawer runs smoothly. As expected for a piece over 200 years old, there are light marks, scratches and stains commensurate with age and use. There is a horizontal split spanning the top and minor chips, losses and repairs to the veneer of the frieze and legs. There a small amount of historic worm, mainly to the rear left support.
