Lee Wright Antiques & Interiors Ltd has dated this French Cherrywood Antique Commode to the 18th Century.
An 19th Century French Louis XVI Period Cherrywood Commode.
There three drawers, a smaller drawer above two larger ones, with a brass moulding separating them. The plate brass handles are original and there are ormolu collars to the tapering square sectioned legs. The sides of the commode are bookmatched and the timber used throughout is of excellent colour and figure.
