A fine pair of authentic early 19th-century English transferware tea or side plates, manufactured by the renowned Josiah Spode II factory in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, featuring a classic late Georgian all-over botanical floral transfer design and made in Spode’s highly collectible ''New Stone''—an innovative, exceptionally durable ironstone body formulated to rival heavy Chinese porcelain imports.The plates feature a vibrant, richly detailed cobalt blue central bouquet with an intricate geometric and floral repeat border, finished with a traditional hand-painted brown ochre rim.
