Pair of Large Walnut Standard Lamps C.1900

Description

Splendid pair of carved walnut standard or floor lamps c.1900. Of country house quality and proportions. Bulbs raised on conical white painted wooden tops on solid walnut columns modelled as George II style torchère stands. Tapering columns, turned and fluted above crisply carved acanthus detail. Very heavy bases with four scrolling acanthus carved supports surrounding the columns, on deep moulded plinths with projecting corners and turned bun feet below. Excellent colour and condition, rewired, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
