The Chelsea Bijouterie Ltd has dated this Pearl Diamond Cluster Ring to the 1960s.
With its sculptural profile, two-colour gold setting and sparkling diamond halo, it is an exceptionally elegant example of mid-century British jewellery.

The ring is centred with a lustrous cultured pearl measuring approximately 7.3mm. The pearl has a soft silvery-white colour, delicate pink overtones and a beautifully even lustre that catches the light most attractively.

Surrounding the pearl are ten sparkling diamonds with a combined estimated weight of approximately 0.30 carat. The diamonds are held in an elaborate, finely chiselled 18ct white-gold setting. This textured setting reflects the light around the stones and gives the diamond halo a particularly bright and substantial appearance.

The cluster rests above a decorative yellow-gold coronet, while the slender 18ct yellow-gold shank provides an elegant contrast to the white-gold diamond setting. Viewed from the side, the raised coronet gives the ring a graceful architectural profile characteristic of fine mid-century jewellery.

Although made in 1962, the scalloped halo and geometric arrangement have a distinct Art Deco influence. The ring sits comfortably on the finger while retaining an impressive presence and would make a wonderful cocktail ring, anniversary gift or distinctive alternative engagement ring.

The maker’s mark WEG is attributed to W. E. Ginder Ltd, a Birmingham manufacturing jeweller associated with the city’s historic Jewellery Quarter.
The ring is in excellent condition. There is slight wear to the shank and hallmarks consistent with the ring having been worn and enjoyed during its life.
