GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a rare and particularly fine quality mid-19th century solid rosewood DUET MUSIC STAND in excellent original condition. The fully adjustable top revolves with both sides providing rosewood supports and featuring two hinged candle-holders with cast brass sconces. It is supported on a beautifully turned central column with typical Gillows fine fluted “melon” decoration leading to the carved solid rosewood tripod base. The height is adjusted via the spring-loaded central knob, so that it can be used either standing or seated ~ for a violinist or cellist for example. A truly splendid Music Stand which comes highly recommended and is offered in remarkable original
