Heavy Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Combination Sovereign/vesta Case - 1900

A heavy and plain antique Victorian sterling silver combination Sovereign/vesta case which has been made to a high standard and remains in excellent condition. At one end there is a push button mechanism to open the lid which reveals a spring section to house the Sovereigns and at the other end there is a tight fitting hinged lid to hold the matches. At the top there is a ring attachment so that this case can be worn if so desired. It would make a desirable addition to a collection.

It was hallmarked in London for 1900 by Joseph Walton.
