Magnificent Pair Georgian 18th Solid Silver Sterling Candlesticks London 1747 William Gould

An early pair of 18th century Georgian solid silver sterling candlesticks with Rococo elements, they have shell motifs to the corners of the shaped, stepped bases and matching knoppes along the baluster stems, worn detachable wax pans.
 
They are of a very heavy gauge of silver

Wiliam Gould worked almost exclusively Im candlesticks and tapersticks . He is widely recognised as one of the preeminent exponents of the English Rocco silber movement.
