Magnificent Solid Silver Sterling Wine Coasters Sheffield 1805

A magnificent pair of solid silver wine bottle coaster with pierced geometric sides with intricately cast, heavy relief rim of grapes and trailing vine leaves.
 
Originally these were made as bottle sliders, to easily move glass wine bottles across the higher polished wooden dining room table.
 
Hallmarked for Sheffield 1805
