Antique Small Oak Welsh Dresser

A charming antique Welsh oak dresser of compact proportions. The upper section features three shelves beneath a shaped frieze with small side compartments. The base is fitted with two drawers retaining brass swan-neck handles above a shaped apron. Below is a full-width potboard, raised on simple turned front supports. The dresser has a warm oak tone, pleasing grain and a rich patina developed over many years. Overall, a lovely, honest example with good colour and proportions.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with signs of age and use consistent with its age. The dresser is solid, sturdy and structurally sound, with surface wear including age-related marks, scratches and small knocks. There is evidence of historic woodworm, but this has long and been treated as a precaution. The drawers run well and the dresser is ready for use.
