Richly carved furniture, paintings, and porcelain surround an open doorway, where a succession of rooms disappears into the distance before ending in a small window filled with daylight.In the foreground, an elegant blue upholstered chair catches the light, its curved wooden arms echoing the elaborate Baroque furnishings nearby. Beyond it, the doorway becomes the heart of the painting. The dark passage draws us forward until our gaze reaches the bright window at the far end, creating a remarkable sense of depth.
