The bureau section features a wonderfully proportioned fall-front writing surface which opens to reveal a finely fitted interior incorporating an arrangement of drawers, pigeonholes and a central cupboard, demonstrating the quality and craftsmanship associated with the finest Georgian furniture. This highly functional workspace remains as practical today as when it was first made over 260 years ago.

Below are four long graduated drawers and two short drawers, retaining attractive brass swan-neck handles and offering substantial storage. The piece stands upon elegant bracket feet, completing its timeless Georgian silhouette.
