Lee Hawkins Antiques & Interiors has dated this Queen Anne Display Cabinet to the 1890s.

Constructed from richly figured walnut of outstanding colour and character, the cabinet features a graceful shaped swan-neck style cornice surmounted by an intricately carved crest, creating a striking silhouette that immediately draws the eye. The pair of glazed doors are beautifully shaped to follow the contours of the cornice and open to reveal a spacious interior fitted with three shelves ( shlves was left out at the time of photography ), ideal for displaying books, porcelain, silver, glassware, antiques or treasured collections.
Below, a full-width drawer crafted from attractive burr walnut veneers offers useful concealed storage, whilst the cabinet stands proudly on elegant carved cabriole legs terminating in finely detailed ball and claw feet united by a shaped stretcher.

The quality of the timber selection, carving and overall craftsmanship throughout is exceptional. Fine walnut display cabinets of this calibre remain highly sought after by collectors, interior designers and discerning homeowners, particularly examples retaining such elegant proportions and decorative features.
