Description:
This is a fine quality antique Art Deco walnuts desk, with decorative figuring to the grain, comprising 7 drawers and a glass panel top, which is 3ft 8-inches wide, circa 1930, in excellent condition. This luxury walnut desk boasts a classic “skyscraper” design visible in the design of the stepped pedestals, with the sunken central well and recessed walnut and ebonised style plinths. ...storage well (useful for storing a laptop or paperwork when not in use). The glass panel top can be removed if not required. The desk structure comprises a large central drawer, flanked by three drawers in each pedestal. The dovetailed drawers are decorated with top quality solid copper handles. This Art Deco writing desk boasts classic Art Deco styling in the overall design of the curved corners, clean lines to the tops, the handles and the feet. The drawer linings are constructed with dovetail joints. This is a single piece desk which does not dismantle. It is unusual to see of a desk of this design and shape in the marketplace.
The Art Deco walnut desk boasts a lovely mellow golden walnut colour. It has a fantastic colour and patinaton; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
