Here we have a rare surviving example of a Surgeon''s military campaign instrument kit, all housed in a mahogany and brass bound case with fitted interior and lift out tray housing multiple surgical instruments used for amputations, wound closure, brain surgery and airway management, all instruments and stamped for Arnold & Sons and also carry the War Office broad arrow mark, there is also a small lidded compartment containing sutures and gut.
