Antique Indian Silver Presentation Trophy Assam Valley Light Horse

1920 - 1940
Description

An interesting Indian silver presentation trophy for the "Assam Valley Light Horse", modelled as a rhinoceros on an ebonised plinth with silver mounted cap badge and presentation plaques. Dated 1882 - 1947 and awarded to Pte. J.R. Mott.

It is an excellent quality piece. It is not hallmarked but tested as silver.

It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some light surface marks and a few small knocks around the base but nothing detrimental and it displays well.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
