An unusual Edwardian silver desktop accessory providing a letter clip and also doubling as a pocket watch holder. It has a weighted rectangular base with gadrooned border and mounted to this is a hinged letter / paper clip. The clip has space for a standard size pocket watch which fits behind the removable bezel. We have photographed it with a pocket watch fitted to demonstrate this but it is not sold with one.It is hallmarked for London, 1902 and the maker Grey & Co. The hallmark is slightly rubbed on the base but still readable. It is also stamped with a registration number ''Rd 389608.''It''s in good condition for its age and the hinge on the clip is in good order. There are some minor knocks and marks, small dinks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays very well and is a good usable piece.The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
