Touch of Time Antiques has dated this Victorian Topaz Floral Brooch to the 1800s.
Seven oval-cut pink topazes are set in closed-back settings, with traditional foil backing enhancing their attractive rose-pink colour.

Of particularly pleasing three-dimensional construction, the various floral elements are arranged at different heights, creating considerable depth and movement. The finely textured foliage and naturalistically modelled calyxes are characteristic of the romantic botanical jewellery fashionable during the early Victorian period.

The brooch is crafted in 15ct gold, unmarked but tested. The pin tests as 9ct gold and is fitted with a traditional C-clasp.
Dimensions: 4.1 × 3.6 cm
