A striking 1930s to 1940s oil on board, expressionist female portrait applied with a thick, impasto brush stroke and dramatic shading, consistent with the modern Expressionist movement of the early to mid 20th century, believed to be Berlin late 1930s.
Inscribed to the reverse in pencil and occupying a limed oak frame of the period.
