Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian ring design, spanning roughly 1901 to 1910, is defined by light proportions, precise geometric symmetry, and intricate surface detailing. Rings from this period frequently incorporate high-carat gold or platinum, star-set focal stones, and decoratively carved or fluted shoulders.

Edwardian ruby rings were constructed primarily using 18ct or 15ct yellow gold, sometimes accents with platinum settings. Natural rubies were paired with brilliant or rose-cut diamonds, secured using star-setting, grain-setting, or channel-setting techniques.

Authentic British Edwardian gold jewellery features official assay hallmarks denoting gold fineness, town mark, and date letter from the 1901 to 1910 era. Close examination under magnification reveals hand-engraved details and characteristic gem-setting methods distinct from modern casting.

An antique gemstone ring can be worn as a distinct focal point on the index or ring finger, or combined with plain contemporary gold bands for a stacked aesthetic. Its low-profile setting makes it suitable for daily wear alongside casual or formal tailoring.

Clean the ring using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush, taking care around the stone settings. Avoid exposure to harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive materials, and store the piece in a lined box to prevent contact with other metalwork.
