Pareglio & Ayres Antiques Interiors has dated this Antique Norwegian Wooden Skis to the 1910s.
H. HAGEN & CO. CHRISTIANIA". L.H. Hagen was Norway's premier early winter-sports outfitter, famously chosen to supply specialized sledges and skis for Captain Scott’s legendary Antarctic Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913). Because the stamp features the name "Christiania" (which officially changed to Oslo in 1925), this pair is firmly dated to the golden era of polar exploration between 1900 and 1924.

The front face bears bold gold historical monogram initials 'G DK'.
The pair retains the original period-correct metal and leather cable bindings, and are complete with matching original bamboo poles featuring authentic leather hand straps and classic circular snow baskets at the base.
Beautifully preserved, structurally sound, and displaying a magnificent rich patina. The wood shows honest historical wear, scuffs, and character from over a century of age.
