Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Czech Art Deco glass from the 1930s is characterised by geometric forms, fluted profiles, and stylised figural motifs created using press-moulding techniques. Glassworks in Czechoslovakia produced pieces in a variety of translucent pastel tints, including rosaline pink, amber, and green.

Press-moulded glass was created by pouring molten glass into metal moulds and using a mechanical plunger to force the material into the design cavities. Metallic oxides were added to the batch mix to achieve distinct colours, such as manganese or neodymium for pink shades.

Authentic pieces often feature distinct mould lines, sharp geometric detail, and characteristic base shapes such as octagonal or hexagonal plinths. While some items bear stamped marks indicating country of origin, many were unmarked and are identified by original catalogue designs from glassworks like Libochovice or Inwald.

A pink glass vase can be positioned on a neutral sideboard or mantelpiece where natural light enhances its translucency. It functions effectively as a standalone decorative accent or paired with minimal foliage to contrast against the structured, angular lines of the glass.

Vintage glass should be hand-washed using lukewarm water and a mild detergent, using a soft cloth to remove dust and surface residues. Direct exposure to sudden temperature shifts or abrasive chemicals should be avoided to prevent thermal shock and scratching.
