A fine antique three stone ring set with a natural, unheated ruby between a pair chunky old mine cut diamonds. The oval cut ruby in the centre is claw set within a platinum crown, with the two 0.40 carat (approx.) old mine cut diamonds set in yellow gold coronet collets, leading to a slim 14k yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no indications of heating.
Cut: Oval cut ruby and old mine cut diamonds.
Colour: The diamonds are K.
Clarity: The ruby has some visible inclusions. The diamonds are VS2 and SI1.
Carat: The ruby is 1.40 carat. Each diamond is approximately 0.40 carat.
Circa: 1910.
Size: O 1/2 (UK) or 7 1/4 (US). Free sizing available.
Measurements: The ruby is 8.7 x 6.6mm. From the outer edge of one diamond to the other is 17mm.
Weight: 3.16 grams.
Metal: 14k yellow gold and platinum. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
