Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Mid-century figurative printmaking focuses on expressive line work, stylized form, and economical use of colour to convey movement and mood. Artists during this period often utilized lithography and etching to make graphic studies accessible to a wider collecting audience.

High-quality prints are typically executed on heavy archival rag paper using lightfast printing inks. They are mounted behind glass with acid-free matting to prevent discolouration and framed in timber or gilded mouldings.

Authentic limited edition prints feature hand-written edition numbers alongside a original pencil signature in the lower margin. The impression marks, paper quality, and clear printer details further confirm authenticity.

A framed dance study can be hung individually on a narrow wall or incorporated into an eclectic gallery wall alongside monochrome photography and minimalist sketches. The classic blue tones provide a refined colour accent against neutral backdrops.

Framed prints should be hung away from direct sunlight, dampness, and extreme temperature variations to prevent fading or foxing. Dust the frame gently with a dry soft cloth and clean the glass with a specialized, non-abrasive cleaner.
