Worn on festive days, or for ceremonies, this delightful embroidery- part of a skirt- is packed with an impressive display of flora and fauna. Parrots, representing good luck, mermaids, peacocks and the Venetian inspired double-headed eagle all worked in colourful silks and occasional details in metal thread. Very charming and will look fantastic mounted. Being offered 'as is' because I am swamped with work but if it doesn't sell, I will eventually send it off to be stretchered.
