Constructed from richly figured kingwood and exotic parquetry veneers arranged in striking geometric patterns, the fall-front writing compartment is centred by a superb floral marquetry urn motif, framed by elegant crossbanding and fine inlaid borders.
The secrétaire opens to reveal a wonderfully fitted interior incorporating four satinwood-lined drawers, a useful storage compartment and an inset green writing surface, making it both practical and highly decorative. Beneath are three graduated drawers providing generous storage, all retaining excellent craftsmanship and elegant proportions.
