Large Antique Victorian Military Silver Snuff Box, London 1838

Description

An important antique Victorian military silver table snuff box. Made in Birmingham in 1838 by the expert box maker Edward Edwards. This presentation table snuff box was gifted to “Mr Randall on the occasion of the Cavalry Depot Steeple Chase” in 1838. On the base are listed the ten men who presented this box. There are full hallmarks on the inside and it is fully gilded. This box is incredibly heavy and in excellent condition, a great addition to any collection.

Weight; 322 grams or 10 ozst.
