A wonderful late Victorian sapphire and old cut diamond cluster ring. At the centre is a rectangular sapphire - certified as natural and unheated - displaying a rich, transparent blue. The sapphire is surrounded by a border of eight chunky old mine cut diamonds, plus a further two at the top of the shoulders.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no indications of heating.
Cut: Rectangular cushion sapphire and old mine cut diamonds.
Colour: The diamonds range between J and K.
Clarity: The sapphire is loupe-clean. The diamonds range between VS2 and SI2.
Carat: The sapphire is approximately 1.00 carat. With a total approximate diamond weight of 1.40 carat.
Circa: 1900.
Size: K (UK) or 5 1/8 (US). Free sizing available.
Measurements: The sapphire is 6.2 x 5.0mm. The head of the ring is 14.4 x 13.3mm and sits 6.4mm from the finger.
Weight: 4.75 grams.
