Description

A wonderful antique Victorian sterling silver double photograph frame which has attractive pierced decoration to the tall, nicely shaped and designed body. The photo frames are held together by hinges enabling them to be moved and positioned accordingly. The velvet backing has been well cared for over the years and remains in excellent condition. The openings to hold the photographs are slightly arched and shaped and the bevelled glass is still in excellent condition. Double frames of this style and quality are hard to find and this example would look eye catching when displayed.

Overall height: 32 cms (12.5")

Overall width of both frames: 45.5 cms (18")

Inner height of each frame: 14 cms (5.5")

Inner width of each frame: 9.2 cms (3.6")

They were hallmarked in Birmingham for 1897 by Henry Matthews.
