A Lovely Antique Elkington Cut Glass and Silver Plated Biscuit Barrel featuring a clear barrel-form glass body with a fitted hinged lid. The glass is finely etched with vertical lines and banded detailing, giving the piece a crisp, elegant texture. The lid is finished with a decorative finial knop, adding a traditional, period-inspired touch.
 
The container rests in a silver plated stand with a beaded rim and supporting rails that cradle the glass securely. The underside is stamped Elkington & Co, for the respected Birmingham maker known for high quality plated wares – marked with the date letter ‘G’ for 1869.
