Lee Hawkins Antiques & Interiors has dated this Edwardian Painted Writing Desk to the Edwardian era.
The fall-front writing surface features intricate painted swags, flowers and musical trophies, while the twin stationery cabinets retain their original painted oval panels, creating a wonderfully sophisticated appearance.

The superstructure incorporates a central mirror flanked by two useful cupboards, one fitted with letter divisions and the other with stationery compartments and original inkwells. Below, a spacious drawer provides additional storage, while the elegant tapering legs are further enhanced with painted decoration and joined by a shaped undertier.

Equally suited as a writing desk, ladies dressing table, hall piece or decorative accent furniture, this versatile example embodies the elegance and practicality for which Edwardian furniture remains highly sought after.
Presented in very good antique condition with a rich colour and warm patina developed over more than a century.
