Fabulous Stanley Webb Davies 1930’s Oak Writing Bureau

This is a wonderful rare piece of original Stanley Webb Davies furniture, that is beautifully hand made to such a high quality, as you would expect from his Lake District workshop. This has been in the same home since Davies made it for the family, it has obviously had a lovely life as it is in such amazing original condition. The Lake District maker, Stanley Webb Davies was one of Britain’s leading makers of Arts and Crafts furniture from his workshop in Windermere, this piece dates from the thirties and features to the interior pigeon hole shelving. Around the front fall is the Stanley Webb Davies hand carved decorations and to the drawer front surrounds. The drawers are so clean inside, run smoothly and have the original ebony shaped handles. Stands on four chamfered legs with a connecting H stretcher. Rarely are pieces made of such high quality like this example of an original piece of Stanley Webb Davies furniture, it is a beautiful original colour too.
