4 ½ inch silvered dial with two spirit levels.
Outer dial divided 0 – 360, Inner dial with cardinal points, N-E-S-W, divided into 90 degree quadrants, each divided10 – 80.
On a brass locking gimballed mount with 360° silvered bearing circle and folding sights.
Underside marked: MINg CLASS SURv 48
Revolving tripod mount with four levelling screws.
