This is a matched set of six pre-war René Lalique Strasbourg pattern wine glasses, model 5085, manufactured in Paris, France. The glasses are in excellent condition for their age. They showss minimal age related wear and tear commensurate with use. The glasses measures 7.6 cm (3 inches) in diameter across the bowl rim and are 14 cm (5.6 inches) in height. The bowls are plain with slightly inverted rims and sit on stems which consist of a figural scene of two people dancing. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. The characters ''R LALIQUE'' are etched into the underside of four of the feet in upper case, one has the characters ''R Lalique France No. 5085'' etched into the underside of the foot in lower case and one has the characters ''R Lalique France'' etched into the underside of the foot in lower case; hence the belief that they are a matched set, sourced at different times.Each glass weighs 95 g.
