A fine and large Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester Porcelain Spill Vase c.1810. Of cylindrical form with flared rim and two gilt satyr mask handles, the front of the vase very finely painted with a view of Ballyhooly Castle County Cork in rectangular gilt panel, reserved on a salmon pink ground gilded with vermicelli, with a band of acanthus leaves, palmettes and scrolls. 17 cm high, impressed BFB and painted marks including ''Manufactures to their Majesties, Prince of Wales & Royal Family'' along with title ‘Bally Hooly Castle Co Cork’ in red script.
 
Ballyhooly Castle lies in the village of the same name, in County Cork, in Ireland.
 
Ballyhooly Castle was built in 1314 by William Roche on a rock on the left bank of the River Blackwater to guard a ford at that location. The Norman Roches dominated this area in medieval times.
